Singapore News:Small amounts add up to big sums - that's the idea behind the Assisi Hospice's latest fundraising initiative. The young residents at the hospice are fighting cancer and other terminal illnesses.
All armed with gung-ho spirit, they are putting up a "smashing" performance at the launch of the charity drive. And teddy bear banks will play a big role as well. You can bring one home for $10, save money in it and donate the savings.
The hospice hopes to get people to save about $100 for each teddy bear bank. And with about 5,000 such banks, that could add up to about half a million dollars.
